New from the 10th Edition? In
this edition we have made some major changes that makes your search much easier
& faster and precise. This
includes the Advance Search options and District and Pin-code option in
conjunction with the product search. This enables you to redefine your search
without going back and forth. It also gives much more precise search results.
This reduces the pains for the user to search through the huge data in the Maharashtra Industries CD. All
Print options have also been modified so that any letter any company appears
only once and not repeated.
Email option has been modified so that now it is not
required for the user to have any email clients such as MS-Outlook to be on her machine.
The program in the CD itself
sends the Email to all the selected companies.
How to use CD? Maharashtra Industries Directory is very easy to use. To install the
directory on your computer simply insert the CD in your CD-Rom drive. The installation program will ask you whether you want to
install the CD. Click Yes to Start Installation. If the CD do not start automatically then go to Start >
Run and type D:\mid\setup\setup.exe where (D:) is the CD-ROM drive of your
machine. Change the drive letter with that of your machine. Installation program will install the software on your hard drive. Click
finish on the last screen. MID CD11 icon will appear on your desktop. Click on
the icon to start the Program. The CD contains very simple user interface to Search Products, Companies,
Districts, Pin-Code.
It also contains utilities to search STD codes, ISD
codes, Various Websites related to Maharashtra/ India etc
Searching through Product List To Search the companies by product just click on the Product search
Button on the toolbar above. The Product list will appear on the screen. Select the desired product by
typing it in the textbox or just double click on the desired product or Click on
Alphabetical Buttons to search by particular Alphabet.
The
search result will be shown for the complete section of the desired product.
Searching from the List of Companies by Company Name Company search gives the user option to search a particular Company
through the list of Companies in the database.
Just type in the desired company name in the Search
Textbox, if it matches with the company in the database then the Company will be
displayed selected on top in the list. Click search button on right side of the
List to see the details of the selected Company.
Searching Companies through Pin Code and Area Pin code and Area Search gives the option of searching the companies Pin
code wise. When you select Particular pin code it shows you the respective area
for that Pin code. Double Click on the selected Pin Code in the List or press Enter Key to
search the selected Pin code. The Search result will show the number of Companies in the Selected Pin Code. Searching Companies through Districts District search gives the user option to search a particular Company
through the list of Districts in the database.
Just type in the desired District name in the Search
Textbox, if it matches with the Districts in the database then the Company will
be displayed selected on top in the list. Click search button on right side of
the List to see the details of the selected Districts.
How to view Details of the Company? When any of the four searches are used you get the list of Companies as
per the search criteria. The Company Names in red have their Advertisements on
the CD. You can see the Details such as Contact Person, Address, Telephone, and
Product description when you select a particular company from the list of Companies. You can see the Advertisement of the Company on CD by Double Clicking on
the Company Name. The advertisement will open in the default browser on your
machine. |
